Data presented is common knowledge, drawn from the literature cited with each mineral's entry or this author's own experimental results.
The data is organized by mineral name instead of mineral property, obviating the need to search multiple tables for all information about a mineral species.

Chemicals which should be avoided by the amateur (HF, aqua regia, cyanides, etc.) are not included here.

Where conflicts exist between sources only the most conservative information is given in some cases.
